I’ve been a bit of a busy bee today hence the later than usual post. I saw Boss Baby today with my eldest brother (saw one yesterday and got to see the other today) and damn it was very cute and funny. We also did a bit of shopping, I bought my partner a long overdue dressing gown, the only dressing gown he has is a batman one that is probably for women and it barely covers his hips – he’s fabulous. I also grabbed myself 3 notebooks. One for my blog (to jot down ideas and thoughts), one for spirituality/dreams/bits and pieces and one for quotes and poetry. I will post photos of them soon and talk to you about them – I bought stencils and scrap booking tape with glitter gel pens – shit is about to get to the 12 year old decorative art level. My brother had to tear me away from the rhinestone section, bless his soul. The reason I bought the notebooks is because when I got thinking about it – everything I have is online, I don’t have any belongings to get nostalgic over in person and flip through pages remembering times and memories – my mum gave me a polaroid about two years ago and I love it, being able to have photos instantly in your grip is fantastic and I plan on taking so many photos on my move to Melbourne. I have a visual of taking a polaroid of my home, the first time we go to open it with our keys – the first visit feeling that it is mine. I can’t wait for that. I want my notebooks to be a part of me that I can share with my children (when I have children or if), I mean they probably wouldn’t give two shits about it, but it is a nice thought.
Anyway – rambling a bit here. I should be hurrying up so I can sip away at my wine and play For Honor with my partner, but sit with me and let’s get to my “5 Things” for today. Today is 5 inspirations. (In no particular order)
Shakespeare is my inspiration for all things me. My tattoos, my poetry, my understanding of true love and where I want my creative mind frame to be.
2. Something For Kate.
Something For Kate is a band that I have a massive soft spot for and have for years. They originated in 1994. The Murmur Years is my favourite album, it ranges from 1996 (my birth year) to 2007.
Love inspires me in the sense that I am a hopeless romantic, and love is a emotion that drives me in my everyday life. I am entirely wrapped up around love, it for me, is what keeps me going.
Routine is what gets me up in the morning, it’s the routine that I love and I love to follow in my day. I love my morning routine the most, I love starting my day off right.
5. My partner.
My partner is my driving force, he inspires me everyday by encouragement and positive motivation. He naturally is a inspiration for me, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
That’s it for today, it’s getting closer to the end of my “5 Things” and I almost want to keep it going! But, I’m looking forward to nominating a few of you to give it a shot. This is quite a short post, I feel like I have been ranting to you all about topics and leaving loooonnnggg posts – my apologies!
Enjoy the rest of your day/evening, I hope you all are having as good of a day as I wish for you all.
