Frosting Over In The City!

Hey everyone,

Just thought that I would pop you all a post about my first day in the city of Melbourne. For starters, it was bloody cold! It didn’t get over 10 Celsius all day. Safe to say we are not used to that kind of temperature. We searched everywhere for a scarf and warmer jumpers and there were people around us in shorts and a t-shirt. Goosebumps even looking at them!

We went into the city to look around, it was our first time together in the city in Melbourne. We found a beautiful street just filled with cafes and delicious food. There was one one cute cafe that had heaters out the front (it looked warm) so we went inside and grabbed two cappuccinos while holding each other’s hands to warm up.

It was a lovely, lovely cuppa!

Afterwards, we found a lovely bookstore. I found a beautiful complete collection of Shakespeare’s sonnets and poems which I purchased. It is gold leafed which will match a few others that we have at home, yay!

My partner had arranged a job interview after lunch time so we bought Grill’d together and I waited for him to finish his interview.

After his job interview, we went to a house inspection and there were quite a few people there. The best part of the location is when you walk up the road. There lies the best Japanese restaurant we have ever had the luck of tasting in our lives. Crap, it was so good.

We forgot all about the house!

Once we ate we got the train up to my fiance’s place. By the time we got off the train, my fiance had gotten the job he went to the job interview for earlier. What the heck? He is so clever.

We both have our first days on Monday at our new jobs! Yay!

Speak soon everyone.

  1. I just told someone that I ghost wrote the world’s best selling fantasy/science fiction novel. Really they asked in awe for everyone knows I am a writer who never seems to run out of money and am fairly cryptic about my pseudonym or business name/structure. Yes, I wrote the bible.

  2. Congratulations on your partner getting the job. Sucks the lady was so rude but I did laugh about the “looking like she wanted to head butt you” πŸ˜‰ At least you got some great Japanese food, so that’s a blessing πŸ™‚
