Something Special About Morning Routines

Good morning everyone,

This morning my heart feels full, and I’m feeling rather grateful. I guess you could say I’m a morning person!

On the way to work today, my husband was kind enough to drive me in.

I love Wednesdays, it’s a day where he usually will take me into work because he’s at a different location for his work.

They are my favourite days, we get to chat away in the car together and spend the morning taking it extra easy with no rush. It is so nice to just have extra time with him.

In the car, I saw a lady walking to her car with a cup of coffee from a local cafe that has changed their coffee cups over to their Christmas cups. Instantly my mood perked up. Not only was the Christmas cup absolutely adorable, but she looked content.

I love seeing how cozy the world feels in the morning.

In the morning everyone is waking up to the day. People grab their warm comforts like coffee (which in December is the best because they’re Christmas related!), I steer myself towards softer materials like dressing gowns and slippers and remain snug like I never left bed.

The sun slowly rising is beautiful.

The sky presents itself as a yellow and red blanket while the birds sing as you open up your blinds to start a new day, new beginnings.

Every day there are opportunities, good or bad. You can always change your pathway. No matter what day you had yesterday, when you wake up in the morning it is a brand new day to make new memories. It’s wonderful.

Some days it’s harder to wake up than most, but what I love is a simple morning routine. Rug yourself up, give your face a nice splash of cold water, grab your morning coffee or tea and open up those blinds.

Seize the day.
