Day Three: A letter to Santa
To start with – how are you going? This is the busiest time of the year for you. I hope the elves and yourself are taking it easy where you can.
I guess all that I want to say is thank you.
Thank you for making Christmas time absolutely incredible when I was growing up. I was your biggest fan, deep down I still am. I’m sorry I stopped believing in you as I grew older, believing isn’t seeing – sometimes believing is seeing.
You make the end of the year seem worth it even as an adult. I get to experience sharing your magic with my unborn child, who will be 10 months by Christmas next year. My husband and I can’t wait to spread the holiday cheer and festivities.
When we look at Christmas this year, all we can think is how much better it will be having our little one here with us. Not just for the delicious food and sharing gratitude for the year, but the main thing that makes us so excited is spreading your holiday spirit and magic.
The best part of Christmas is the excitement of Santa coming down the chimney. The cookies half eaten (or completely eaten!), milk drunk, carrot munched on by the reindeer – but most importantly, feeling as though Santa knows you exist even when you feel so small as a child. It’s such a beautiful feeling.
So, thank you.
Merry Christmas to you, the elves and the reindeer.
What is your letter to Santa?
