How are we all today? Today is starting off day one of our 7 Days 7 Posts challenge. If you would like to join in, please see here.
Today’s writing topic is: You have just been granted 3 wishes. What are they?
Now, let’s put aside the obvious wish where everyone tries to outsmart the wish granter by saying “a billion more wishes!”, unfortunately that won’t work! I have thought of 3 wishes that would be a dream to be granted, so let’s get stuck into them.
Wish #1 – Good health for my family and myself.
Every night before I go to sleep, I put hope out there into the universe that my family and myself will remain in good health and to remain happy and safe. That’s all that I ever need in life.
I can’t stand the thought of something happening to my family that affects their health, happiness or safety. I really can’t stand the thought of it. Now that I am pregnant and about to welcome a beautiful being into the world, I need to remain healthy, happy and safe myself. For my child, they need their mother. I can’t leave them. I can’t have anything happen.
So, my first and my most strongest wish is that I would absolutely love for good health for my family and myself. Hopefully the wish granter can slip in the happiness and safety as well in the same wish.
Wish #2 – Financial freedom.
I think everyone would think about finances when it comes to wishes being granted. I don’t want an endless money bag, but I would love financial freedom.
I would love to be able to pay off my families mortgage, and to buy my brothers their dream houses. I would love to buy a house for my husband and I for us to live in with a child, and when they are old enough a house of their own. I would love to do the same for my husbands family.
I think housing is the main pain point in many peoples lives, so that would be the first use for the financial freedom as it is the biggest strain financially for my husband and I, as well as others.
Once the housing is sorted, we would probably replace the car for a economical friendly car (i.e. Tesla, dream car). We also would want to go entirely solar, so solar panels for everyone on their houses.
Basically, it would be fantastic to have financial freedom to sort ourselves and our families out with housing, create economically friendly utility options on the housing, go economical with transport, and try and live off the grid as possible to sustain that financial freedom. Anything extra is just icing on the cake.
Wish #3 – Less corruption in politics.
I know this is a random wish that may not appear on many lists these days, but if my family and I were sorted with health, happiness, safety and financial freedom – what else could you ask for? I would want the world to change.
I think the less corruption seen in politics (and I don’t mean less ‘seen’ by just hiding the corruption, I mean genuine less corruption in politics) would do the world good.
In Australia in particular, the information that is unraveling is just beyond disturbing. The fact that the corruption is being shown, it’s bleeding through social media and slowly into the news (where there is no corruption in what is shown), and they are defending the corruption and ignoring the justice. It is just so disturbing.
It’s a big problem. The more money that is fed to the politicians, the more they are creating their inner circle that defends one another and it continues the ball rolling for their own benefit, not for the tax payers benefit.
So I would wish for less corruption, bring in more honesty and people who genuinely want to make the world a better place. Make it not about the money, but about what is best moving forward for the Earth and the people who live on it.
What would be your 3 wishes?
