Silence (Third book in the Hush, Hush Saga) by Becca Fitzpatrick.
I think my hands are glued to the book.. Help, anyone?
Just a quick note, I have not shared any spoilers for this novel! This is purely just my take and recommendation.
If you have read this novel, please don’t post any spoilers in the comments, just in case there are new readers for this novel that haven’t finished or started reading it just yet.
Nora Grey can’t remember the past five months of her life. After the initial shock of waking up in a cemetery and being told that she has been missing for weeks – with no one knowing where she was or who she was with – she tried to get her life back on track. Go to school, hang out with her best friend, Vee, and dodge mom’s creepy new boyfriend.
But there is this voice in the back of her head, an idea that she can almost reach out and touch. Visions of angel wings and unearthly creatures that have nothing to do with the life she knows.
And this unshakable feeling that a part of her is missing.
Then Nora crosses paths with a sexy stranger, whom she feels a mesmerizing connection to. He seems to hold all the answers…and her heart. Every minute she spends with him grows more and more intense until she realizes she could be falling in love. Again.
I loved the first and the second, so what did I think of the third? Freaking loved it, again. Damn it.
Generally when I read a book series my love would dwindle off a bit by a few books in because the plot generally appears stretched thin and they just keep trying to force it to continue, but this is not the case with the Hush, Hush saga. EVERY BOOK HAS BEEN NUTS GOOD.
There seems to be all sorts of twists and turns in this plot, this is absolutely crazy how insane it is. I could not rate this saga any higher. I want everyone and anyone who loves fantasy, action, suspense with romance to give this a go. Honestly.
This book had me hooked in particular. I loved how her mind had been wiped (you will see it in the blurb, I’m not providing spoilers I swear!), it was such a clever spin. My heart broke in this book a few times, just being honest!
I liked the spin with Patch using his real name when he runs into Nora when her mind is wiped, I loved that so much. The way that love was captured by an unspoken feeling. Nora just knew that she knew him, and I find that so absolutely beautiful.
No matter what was blocking her mind from him, her mind was powerful enough to see through it and have constant reminders and memories seeping back into her mind of him. It was the best way to show how powerful their love is.
I love Nora as a character. She has grown on me immensely throughout this series, I really like her as a character. She doesn’t come across as the whiny, lost girl who needs to be saved all the time. She may need to be saved from situations, but she finds herself in those positions naturally and she has good cause to be in certain situations. She’s a very mentally strong woman, and that is what I love most about her. It’s different than what most authors tend to do with these types of books.
Anyway, I loved it. I don’t want it to end. Onto Finale now… *wipes tear* I’m going to be so lost without this saga once it’s over. I would say this was my favourite book in the saga.
Overall Rating: 10/10
Where can I buy it?
By this point I’m just going to link you to the full saga, I could not recommend it higher!
